The following features and symptom resolutions are included in this release.
- Feature: Web Application and Site Level Anonymous Access Support
Allow access to anonymously accessible pages (Sign-In, Register, Forgot My Password) when web application and/or site anonymous access is disabled.
- Feature: Anonymous Page Branding
Apply a custom master page to anonymously accessible pages (Sign-In, Register, Forgot My Password).
- Feature: Allow a Site Sponsor to Edit User Profiles
Allow a site sponsor to edit user profile information for their managed accounts.

Define read and write access access (Account Manager, Site Sponsor, Personal, Public) to user profile properties.

Improved security against Javascript injection attacks by encoding input fields content provided by an end user when displayed through the UI.
- Feature: Change Password After Sign-In
Send the user to the change my password page after sign-in if the password age is older than a configured duration or if a 'change password at next login' user profile property is selected.
- Feature: Send User to Home Site After Sign-In
Send the user to a 'home URL' defined in a user profile property after sign-in.
- Feature: Added Required Field Indicators on Registration and Profile Pages
Asterisks added to required fields on the registration and edit profile pages.
- Feature: Authentication Provider Mapping Subnet Mask Support
The IPAddressMask used to define the IP address range of an authentication provider mapping supports subnets. For example, the IPAddressMask '172.17.0.1/16' will match all IP addresses from 172.17.0.1 to 172.17.255.254.
- Symptom: Import-ExCMExtranetSettings Optional Parameter TransformationPath
When no transformation path is supplied to the Import-ExCMExtranetSettings SharePoint Management Shell command a default (Empty) transformation file is applied.
June 2011 Cumulative Update (2.0.1806.1)
The following features and symptom resolutions are included in this release.
- Symptom: Required Site Sponsor Optional Associative Security Definition
Corrected the missing permission for site sponsors configured without an optional associative security definition.
- Symptom: User Automation Notification Message has Invalid Data
The 'accountActivityExpirationDate' token contained invalid data in the 'Account Activity Approaching Expiration' mail message.
- Feature: Site Sponsor Include Site Groups
When site groups are included the SharePoint Groups associated with the current site which the sponsor is a member are include in the Optional Associated and Administrative Security Definitions. This feature allows easier account management for sub-sites in the same site collection.
- Feature: Global Registration Fields
Registration fields can be configured in the web.config file. Registration fields configured in thew web.config file are included in the registration fields for each site collection.
- Feature: Membership Profile Properties
Membership Profile Properties can be viewed and edited by Extranet Account Manger from the Extranet Users page.
- Feature: Membership Profile Properties Registration Receiver
Membership Profile Properties can be automatically be set during a registration by the Extranet Membership Profile Registration Receiver.
- Feature: SPUser Registration Receiver Updated
The SharePoint User Registration Receiver was updated to and can now be used to set additional properties in the Site CollectionUser Information List.
April 2011 Cumulative Update (2.0.1606.1)
The following features and symptom resolutions are included in this release.
- Symptom: Registration e-mail messages not honoring zone
Registrations now record the zone used during registration. The zone is used to resolve the correct URL in the registration accepted, success
- Symptom: User Automation notification message not being sent
Updated the password and account activity expiration evaluation date to correctly send approaching expiration notification messages.
- Symptom: Invitation and Registration pagination incorrectly pages results
Pagination on the manage invitation and registration pages corrected to support paging when the selected page size is modified.
- Feature: Localized <extranet /> tag literals
Literals defined in the <extranet /> tag can now be localized using SharePoint resource (.resx) files.
- Feature: Administrator defined password questions
One or more password questions can be configured by an administrator in the web.config file. When configured new and invited users must select a password question from the define password question list.
- Feature: Improved navigation on Site Settings pages
Site Settings pages now contain a link back to the Site Settings page from browse tab of the ribbon.
- Feature: Support for multi-tenent site collections
Invitation and registration e-mail messages now support multi-tenent site collections.
- Feature: Multiple User Automation expiration notification messages
User Automation policies now support a repeat notification age which allow notification messages to be sent multiple times before the password or account activity expiration occurs.
- Feature: Miscellaneous features and updates
This release includes updates to improve the overall usage of the product. Items include spelling and grammar updates, changes to page behavior, additional logging messages and application logical updates.
October 2010 Cumulative Update (2.0.1029.1)
The following features and symptom resolutions are included in this release.
- Symptom: Reset password redirection
The ExCM sign-in page link to the 'forgot my password' page will maintain the redirection URL. This allows a user to be redirected to the originally requested SharePoint resource after the reset password operation is completed.
- Symptom: Column 'RegistrationStatus' does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user
Corrected the ExtranetRegistrationEventReceiver error "Column 'RegistrationStatus' does not exist. It may have been delete by another user."
- Symptom: Incorrect path to Extranet Site Setting links when accessing from a sub-site
Updated the paths to send the administrator to the correct URL at the root of the site collection.
- Symptom: Access denied to Site Sponsors with visitor access
Site Sponsors can now access all of the sponsorship management page as site visitors.
- Feature: Site Sponsor Optional Associative Security Definition
Site sponsor can now be assigned an optional associative security definition which allows them to grant optional access to resources when a user is added or invited.
- Feature: Added Invitation sent by column
Added the sent by column to the Invitations list and the View Invitation pages.
- Feature: Removed navigation elements from the sign-in page
Remove many of the navigation elements from the sign-in page which have no relevance when accessed anonymously.
September 2010 Cumulative Update (2.0.921.4)
The following features and symptom resolutions are included in this release.
- Symptom: Site Sponsor add user access denied error
When a Site Sponsor with limited permissions added a new user to the site they receive an access denied error message.
- Symptom: Site Sponsor change password option disabled
The Site Sponsor change password option is now enabled when the 'newPasswordProviderName' is configured in the membership settings section of the web.config file.
- Feature: Registration Workflow Initialization
Additional configuration is provided to start a workflow during an anonymous or invitation registration.
July 2010 Cumulative Update (2.0.727.1)
The following features and symptom resolutions are included in this release.
- Symptom: Sign In page not resolving correct Claims Authentication zone
The Sign In page resolves the IIS Settings of the Default zone when using multiple Claims Authentication zones. This can result in an Operation Not Supported error during a forms authentication attempt when the Default zone is not configured for Form Authentication.
- Symptom: Password pages not displaying password policy error messages
When a password is changed from the Change My Password, Reset My Password or Change User Password pages and an invalid password is provided, the password policy error messages are delivered as SharePoint exceptions which results in the SharePoint friendly error message page to be displayed.
- Feature: Additional sign in diagnostics
Additional diagnostics have been added to the Sign In page to help identify the resolved zone, IP address of the requester and the resolved Authentication Provider Mapping for the requested IP address.
